Menudo/Afritada Mix

Meat stew mix.

The goodness of tomatoes, garlic and onions serve as a base for both Menudo and Afritada.

Menudo / Afronada Recipe (for 5 servings)

1 bag (30 gr) Mama Sita's Menudo / Afrinada Mix
Menudo
350 g beef, diced
150 g beef liver, diced
70 g potato, diced
70 g carrot, diced
80 g bell pepper, diced
35 d grapes
60 g cooked chickpeas
1 cup (250 ml) water
2 tablespoons (30ml) oil
Afritada
½ kg of chicken cut into pieces
70 g potato, diced
70 g carrot, diced
80 g bell pepper, diced
85 g peas

1. In a bowl dissolve Mama Sita's Menudo / Afrinada Mix in water.
2. Fry the potatoes and carrots in hot oil and put aside. In the same pan, fry the meat until golden brown.
3. Add Mama Sita's Menudo / Afrinada Mix dissolved in water, cover and cook over low heat until the meat is tender. Add hot water if necessary.
4. Add the fried potatoes and carrots and the rest of the ingredients. Cook over low heat for 2 more minutes.
5. Serve hot.

Store in a clean, cool and dry place.
