Silvans was born to help preserve the traditional recipes and methods of its land.
The biscuits have existed for over 100 years in the area of Taboada, Lugo. Formerly baked between two iron plates whose long handles prevented the artisans from burning themselves when placed in the wood stove. Their round shape and thinness are the hallmarks of this special biscuits, which are known in the area as "Xian Biscuits".
In addition, the recipe is still the original one. The traditional butter flavor has been kept through the year and new flavors have been incorporated such as those of almond, coconut and coffee.
Something very special was created by Xianas which takes Galicia to all corners of the world, and the 18 different motifs engraved on their biscuits mark references to their history, culture, heritage and nature.
